Below you will find different opportunities for youth to experience the garden, from virtual field trips, activities you can do at home, and in person programs!

FIELD TRIPS TO THE GARDEN

Open to classrooms from kindergarden through high school, our 2.5 hour garden field trip is fun and immersive for students of all ages. After going on an edible walking tour of the garden, our staff leads small groups of students in seeding, worm composting, planting and harvesting - activities modified and tailored to the age of each visiting group.

Offered in partnership with the SFPUC and SF Department of the Environment, schools can apply to attend this trip at no cost to them. Reach out to:

GUIDED ONLINE VISIT (Grades K - 2)

Walk through six areas of the garden and get a taste of these important garden areas. Then, visit the garden in person!
