YOUR ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP HELPS US TO:
- Provide fun, interactive, hands-on workshops teaching organic gardening, urban agriculture, sustainable landscaping and urban composting nearly every weekend of the year.
- Educate youth in San Francisco year-round about urban farms, food systems and local ecology through hands-on learning.
- Teach the next generation of GCETP, (the Gardening and Composting Educator Training Program) which has supported garden projects throughout San Francisco for 15 years.
- Maintain GFE’s ½ acre Organic Teaching Garden which, for 20 years, has hosted 3,000 San Francisco Youth and Adults each year.
- Harvest a weekly CSA-style box of GFE-grown organic fruits and vegetables for homeless youth in San Francisco (a partnership with Larkin Street Youth Services).
