Make compost. Grow food. We put together a weekly CSA box of freshly grown fruits and vegetables and donate it to a youth shelter. Help us harvest - and learn about small-scale, local food systems!
We offer seasonal Harvest internships beginning in February, June and September each year. To find out more about this program, email us for more information.
If you are interested in helping us Harvest, join us at
10am on Saturday mornings.
With the help of volunteers and interns, we grow over 50 varieties of fruits and vegetables in our urban garden, harvesting over 500 lbs of produce each year.
We train three seasons of interns to manage our crops, care for our greenhouse and plant our baby starts. Each week these interns pack a CSA (community support agriculture) box filled with a variety of the garden's bounty for a local transitional housing facility for youth run by Larkin Street Youth Services.
